russian forces, specifically the Rosgvardia, recently claimed to have destroyed a French-made AMX-10P infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in the Kursk region using a drone. This statement was accompanied by a blurry image, which was then circulated by the russian propaganda outlet TASS.
However, France has never officially transferred AMX-10P IFVs to Ukraine. Additionally, analysis by the French portal Opex360 confirms that the vehicle shown in the image is not an AMX-10P.

Unofficial reports from February 2023 suggested that France might transfer at least 10 AMX-10P vehicles to Ukraine. However, as of June 2024, no such transfers have been made. While speculation remains that a few of these vehicles might have been delivered, the AMX-10P is no longer in service with the French Armed Forces.
Visual analysis highlights significant discrepancies in the vehicle's design. The AMX-10P features an angular hull and a rear ramp, while the vehicle in the russian footage has a rounded hull, rear doors, and a circular hatch. This clearly suggests that the enemy, to put it mildly, made a mistake in identifying the type of vehicle.
Not to mention that capturing an armored vehicle on camera does not necessarily mean the enemy managed to hit it. As a result, we have a story about how russian occupiers have started destroying equipment in their reports that Ukraine's Defense Forces have never even received.
Earlier, we reported that the russians had prepared for potential ATACMS strikes on their territory, but not in the locations where they actually occurred.
