Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the local resistance forces continue to cooperate in order to eliminate russian occupation forces on seized Ukrainian territories. This time, a drone attack found the "barracks" of the Akhmat-1 unit belonging to the OMON – a special police unit tasked to suppress riots.
The strike took place in Enerhodar city, at 09:50 AM local time, on August 28th, the official statement from the Ukrainian intelligence agency reads. After the city was occupied by the russian army, the soldiers from Akhmat-1 settled in a building of a former bank.
Defense Intelligence says the strike led to a fire and casualties among the russian personnel, the data is being clarified.
After a series of explosions, the russians had to evacuate the local "administration" and start filtration activities, restricted Internet access.
Earlier Defense Express reported how Ukrainian intelligence forces use FPV drones for pinpoint attacks on russian troops which also happened in Enerhodar, on August 18th. The drone exploded inside the room during a meeting of russian police senior staff.
On top of that, this is another example of fruitful coordination with the local population who send data about the location of russian occupiers and it results in an effective strike.
The same happened on August 27th when locals informed the Ukrainian military about a new batch of russian equipment delivered to a repair base; and on August 24th when an FSB headquarters was hit with a drone.
