Operators of the Nemesis Brigade have destroyed eight russian air defense systems in just one month, including rare S-350 Vityaz radar worth tens of millions of dollars

Over the past month, operators of the Asgard Battalion within the Nemesis 412th Brigade have carried out a series of successful strikes against russian air defense assets in their area of responsibility. According to an official statement published by the Unmanned Systems Forces, these actions resulted in the confirmed neutralization of eight enemy air defense systems.

The list of destroyed or damaged systems highlights the scale and sophistication of the losses inflicted on russian forces. Confirmed targets include two Tor-M2 systems, two Buk-M1 systems, one Tor-M1, one Buk-M3, and one Strela-10 short-range air defense system. Particularly notable is the destruction of rare and relatively modern radar associated with S-350 Vityaz air defense system.

The S-350 system's multifunctional radar, designated 50N6E, is a critical component of this medium-range air defense complex. It enables the automated detection of up to 100 aerial targets simultaneously and can track and guide interceptors against up to eight targets at the same time. Losing such a radar significantly degrades the operational effectiveness of the entire system, even if other components remain intact.

The S-350 Vityaz system itself is positioned by russia as a next-generation replacement for older Soviet-era air defense systems. With an estimated cost of around $130 million per system, it represents a high-value asset that is neither widely deployed nor easily replaced under current wartime production constraints.

Taken together, the cumulative value of the eight air defense systems struck by the Asgard Battalion over the course of a single month exceeds $250 million. This figure underscores not only the financial impact of the strikes but also the operational consequences for russian forces, which rely heavily on layered air defense to protect command posts, logistics hubs, and frontline units.

As Defense Express previously reported, a key component of russian S-300V air defense system was destroyed in Donetsk region on January 5, 2026, marking another significant loss for russian air defense capabilities near the front line. The target was the 9S32 engagement radar, often described by Ukrainian operators as the "brain" of the entire system.
