"Innovative weapons are rapidly changing the picture of war. Aerial drones provide reconnaissance, situational control of the battlefield, and themselves act as means of destroying enemy targets. Currently, drones worth $500 are destroying enemy targets worth tens, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars," Deputy Defense Minister Valery Churkin said.

According to Valery Churkin, in order to effectively combat a resource-intensive aggressor country, we must achieve dominance in the development of new instruments of war as well as their scaling.

"We must win the technological race against the enemy. Ukrainian drones, electronic warfare systems, means of reconnaissance, as well as weapons of destruction must surpass enemy models in terms of their performance characteristics. The arithmetic of war in our case is about increasing lethality and the efficiency of the means using," the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine added.

As Defense Express reported, Ukraine's Ministry of Defense approved over 600 new domestically made weapon systems in 2024.
