This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On Thursday night, August 28, the russian troops used 629 air attack weapons to strike Ukraine: 598 drones of various types, 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles, nine Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and two Kh-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.

According to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, air defense neutralized 589 targets: 563 Shahed UAVs and various types of simulator drones, 18 Kh-101 cruise missiles, seven Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, and one Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile.
Missile and strike UAV hits were recorded at 13 locations and debris from downed targets fell at 26 locations.
A significant number of air targets were targeted at Kyiv, where a part of a five-story building was destroyed as a result of a direct hit attack. A rescue operation is underway at the scene, where people are being unblocked and pulled out of the rubble.

Buildings and property in other parts of the city were also damaged, including the Intercity+ high-speed train deport, the European Union mission building, the Ukrainska Pravda newspaper office, as well as a business center in the city center.
According to updated data provided by the head of the city's military administration, Timur Tkachenko, the death toll in Kyiv has now risen to 12, including three children - two, 17, and 14 years old. 48 people were injured.


To achieve dignified peace, Ukraine needs consolidated international support, but most of all internal unity in resisting the aggressor.
