russian occupation forces try to reinforce their grouping on the right bank on Dnipro which found itself in a shaky situation as Ukrainian troops advance

russians try to bring in reserves from the left bank of the Dnipro river but cannot succeed because all of the crossings have been destroyed by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, says Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for the defense forces in the South of Ukraine.

According to the official, all the strategical bridges used for the resupply of the russian forces stationed in the city of Kherson and adjacent area are non-functional, at least for the heavy military equipment.

"It is precisely because we used caution and precision when hitting the bridges which are the main transport arteries across the Dnipro that they became impassable for heavy machinery," Humeniuk said.

The status of these crossings was reassured by another strike overnight, Operational Command "South" reported afternoon August 30. Three bridges – Antonivskyi road bridge and Antonivskyi rail bridge over Dnipro, as well as Dariivskyi bridge over a smaller Ingulets river – were hit with precise artillery strikes.

Having no other option but to set up alternative crossings, russians tried to establish a pontoon which was located nearly in the same spot as the already destroyed Antonivskyi bridge. This is due to the geography of the river and the area, Humeniuk explained. Predictably, this alternative crossing came under Ukrainian fire control as well.

Nevertheless, russians are trying to pretend they receive reinforcements by moving units between populated areas, to "create a picture".

However, the situation is still tense, because russians have been amassing their firepower in the region for a while now anticipating a Ukrainian counter-offensive, so the battle won’t be an easy one, as the spokesperson said in an earlier interview.

And as she called for the "silence mode" to not cause any harm to the Ukrainian troops or civilians, Natalia Humeniuk noted:

"The hottest news is yet to come, and for now the battles are going on. Therefore, they need informational silence."
