Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that role of technology in war is increasing day by day as usage of drones of both sides is growing

Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi told in an interview to ZDF about the role of drones on the battlefield just before his appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Now, virtually every commander of all levels of military control sees the battlefield. Earlier commander could see only some limited part from a dugout or observation post, but now he sees the full scene of hostilities and much more," Syrskyi said.

The Colonel General noted that this war had greatly increased the importance of technological progress in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as in process of armed combat.

"There is nothing new to us in use of ground-based robotic platforms. Modules that are remotely controlled make it possible to save militaries` lives. It means that war is entering a new phase," the Commander-in-Chief added.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukraine had got new winged FPV drone with longer range and durability, to spend less HIMARS rockets.
