Uncrewed explosive boats once again targeted a russian vessel in the Black Sea

Naval drones attempted another attack on a russian military ship in the Black Sea, according to the russian ministry of defense. They also attach a video allegedly showing footage of the crew of the Priazovye reconnaissance ship "repelling the attack".

Today around 1:30 o'clock Moscow time the Armed Forces of Ukraine made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Priazovye ships of the Black Sea Fleet with six uncrewed speed boats," the statement goes. They also mention the ship was situated 300 km from occupied Sevastopol.

The very first words sound doubtful because in the footage, the attack takes place rather in the morning or in the evening at sunset – definitely not at 1:30 in the night or at 13:30 (Moscow time is the same as in Kyiv). Some other russian media claimed the drones approached "overnight."

Several other statements cause confusion, too. Ministry speaker Konashenkov traditionally says the attack was "repelled" and all the boats engaged in it were destroyed. But at the same time, we see a sequence of merged clips that supposedly should be showing the evidence of a successfully eliminated threat.

In particular, for some reason, they show a Ukrainian explosive boat from the left side but then it (probably, the same drone) turns with its right side facing the camera, under gunfire. Then they show a fragment of a gun shooting. As a reminder, they said there were six drones at a time.

All this performance resembles the russian reaction to the attack on Ivan Khurs ship earlier this May with the same naval drones. Back then, they also said all the drones were taken down until the video came out refuting all their claims:
