Such russian occupiers' steps are the best proof that Ukrainian anti-aircraft FPV drones cause painful damage

Along with installing rear-view cameras on reconnaissance UAVs, russia continues to look for ways to counter Ukrainian anti-aircraft FPV drones. One of them was the use of the insignia of the Ukrainian Air Force and, for some reason, the Balkenkreuz, the Wehrmacht insignia by russians.

A video showing the downing of russian ZALA 421 reconnaissance UAV with the insignia of the Ukrainian Air Force was shown by Ukrainian volunteer Serhii Sternenko.

It is not known how russians intended this insignia to mislead the Ukrainian operator of the anti-aircraft drone. It is quite difficult to confuse russian ZALA 421 with any other drone because of its fuselage shape.

Moreover, the algorithm for detecting and guiding the operator at enemy reconnaissance drones eliminates the possibility of error.

This case demonstrates that the russian federation is trying to find at least some workable solution to counter Ukrainian anti-aircraft FPV drones, which have already destroyed hundreds of russian reconnaissance UAVs.

At the same time, including the spreading of such a countermeasure, the issue of preventing so-called friendly fire in the field of unmanned systems should be resolved very carefully. This can be done on the basis of an analogue of the friend-or-foe system, a single automated system that combines data on own reconnaissance UAVs and data on the airspace situation, as well as visual recognition of the target by its silhouette by the operator of an anti-aircraft FPV drone.

It should be noted that russia is also beginning to develop the field of anti-aircraft drones to counter Ukrainian reconnaissance UAVs, but the first known attack by russian anti-aircraft FPV drone has been unsuccessful.

Earlier Defense Express reported about russian crashed in the city of Taganrog Orion UAV.
