On July 29, Germany transferred a new military aid package to Ukraine, including eight Leopard tanks, ammunition for Gepards, drones, helmets, and other equipment, according to a report from the German government's press service.
So far, approximately €5 billion has been spent on military assistance to Ukraine in 2023, with around €1.6 billion allocated in 2022. An additional €2.9 billion has been set aside for supplies to be delivered between 2025 and 2028.

- 21 thousand shells for the Gepard surface-to-air artillery system

- two Bergepanzer armored recovery vehicles
- Ten ground surveillance radars
- 24.8 thousand helmets

The ministry emphasized that the funds allocated for the security capacity-building initiative for military assistance to Ukraine in 2024 alone amount to approximately €7.1 billion. These funds also cover Germany's contributions to the European Union's European Peace Fund (EPF), which reimburses EU member states for the costs of military assistance to Ukraine. Additionally, there are authorizations for commitments in the coming years totaling about €6 billion.
