In addition, France pledged to supply spare parts and increase the flow of ammunition

French delegation has arrived in Kyiv and met with Ukrainian colleagues to discuss further military aid to Ukraine. Following the talks, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced a financial tranche received from the partners for the procurement of CAESAR self-propelled artillery systems.

"This week we have already received the funds and will use them as payment for additional Caesar SPGs. I thank the French side for the non-stop supply of ammunition to these systems. Of course, if possible, it would be great to increase the number of guns," said Lt. Gen. Ivan Havryliuk, representative of the Ukrainian delegation.

The statement also reads that France is also ready to supply more spare parts for maintenance and more ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"France is making every possible effort to help Ukraine. Our support fund is trying to cover part of the costs of purchasing some spare parts and weapons for the Ukrainian side. We understand Ukrainian needs, so next year France will increase the supply of ammunition," said Jean-François Doc, chief armament engineer, Chairman of the Ukraine support fund.

Earlier Defense Express reported that France was going to expand defense cooperation with Ukraine by delivering six additional CAESAR howitzers, as part of the government commitment; and in the private sector as well, companies Thales and Turgis & Gaillard are looking forward to making UAVs together with Ukrainian manufacturers.
