More than 4,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have undergone the training on various types of foreign weapons and equipment in 14 allied countries, reports Brigadier general Oleksii Hromov, Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during his briefing at Military Media Center.
"The figure includes over two thousand artillerymen, 500 rocket artillery and 500 air defense specialists, almost 200 specialists in use and maintenance of anti-tank weapons, around 100 radar and radar maintenance specialists," Br. Gen. Hromov detailed.

Defense Express reminds, that in addition to the troops training in the use of modern western armament, there is also an ambitious program initiated by Great Britain aiming to teach 10,000 Ukrainian troops basics of combat by October, with instructors from at least eight countries.

And there is also a big issue with the training of Ukrainian pilots on modern F-series aircraft. The funding necessary for this course has already been approved by the U.S. Congress but still needs the agreement of the Senate and President Joe Biden.
But despite the active discussion of whether Ukrainian pilots should start the training right now, the supply of modern aircraft is currently off the table, the Pentagon said.
