During the night of August 6, russian forces conducted another missile and drone attack on Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Forces reported that their air defense units successfully intercepted nearly all russian missiles.
Four ballistic missiles (either the Iskander-M or North Korean KN-23 missiles) were launched from Voronezh region targeting Kyiv region. Two of these missiles were intercepted and shot down. Additionally, the Kh-59 guided air missiles launched from the Sea of Azov region were also destroyed.

Regarding the Shahed drones, a total of 16 were launched from two directions – one from Kursk region in russia and the other from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. Out of these, 15 drones were shot down.
If confirmed, the use of North Korean missile would mark the second recent instance of such weaponry being used in russian terrorist attacks on Ukraine.
