The Defense Forces of Ukraine have learned to deceive russian invaders with mock-ups of weapons, forcing russians to strike fake targets

The Defense Forces of Ukraine are actively using disinformation, forcing russians to be distracted by fake targets. One of these tools was the dummy weapons. This is reported by Today.ua.

The use of fake weapons is not hidden by Ukraine's military command. russian occupiers know about such tactics as well. However, according to Ukrainian warriors, russians regularly fall into this trap.

The quality of execution of such "equipment" and its competent placement on the battlefield is very important. For the first time reports of russian strikes on Himars MLRS mock-ups appeared in 2022. So, it is known that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the russian federation had regularly reported about dozens of destroyed vehicles.

Ukrainian volunteers are also involved in the manufacture of fake weapons, making them out of scrap materials. Only one group of volunteers managed to create more than 200 mock-ups of the Stugna-P anti-tank guided missiles and two 152-mm D-20 gun-howitzerslast year.

At the very beginning of the project, a mock-up of a rocket launcher took up to two months to produce. Now they are made in a few days, and the cost has decreased from four to one thousand hryvnias. The Defense Forces of Ukraine provide volunteers with more serious orders as well. They were offered to develop the MIM-104 Patriot SAM system moulage for $10,000.

"The main idea of these models is to wear down the enemy and see their position. We need real weapons because we can win the war only with real weapons," the Ukrainian militaries said.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukraine was steadily building up its arsenal of domestic UAVs, missiles for strikes against russia.
