Documentary obtained by Ukrainian intelligence reveal the nature of an explosive provocation in Moldova, prepared by the russian FSB

Defense intelligence of Ukraine reports that on April 25, around 17:45 o'clock a series of explosions happened in the "capital" of the unrecognized "Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic", the Tiraspol city. The explosions took place in the building that houses the offices of the "Ministry of Internal Affairs" and the local branch of russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

As a result of the incident, the building was damaged, there were items left in the street nearby. Presumably, RPG-22 and RPG-27 were used. According to the internal ministry's press center, no one was injured.

Ukrainian intelligence has obtained documents indicating that it was actually a provocation aimed to create panic and spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda in Transnistria, plotted by FSB. They wanted to justify the russian invasion of Ukraine and involve the breakaway region of Moldova in the war against Ukraine or use local armed formations as a military reserve.

According to the documents, the self-proclaimed authorities knew that the building would be attacked three days beforehand. On April 22 one of them requested information regarding the location of a "protected point of management of the city's civil defense". If there were none, it was ordered to create one. This way the authorities had prepared a bomb shelter for themselves to hide during the provocation.

Defense Intelligence's Main Directorate warns that the series of such provocations on the territory of the breakaway region of Moldova might continue.

And there is a reason for that. As Defense Express reported earlier, Russia has set new goals in the war against Ukraine. Among them is to create a land corridor to the Russia-backed state in Transnistria, which looks questionable considering the heavy losses of the russian army in Ukraine.
