Rheinmetall Can Supply Only 8% of 1.2 Million Long-Range 155 mm Shells Ukraine Needs

German defense giant Rheinmetall says it can supply only around 100,000 long-range 155 mm artillery shells to Ukraine in 2026, just 8% of Ukraine's estimated annual demand of 1.2 million rounds. The figures highlight the growing strain on Western ammunition production as Ukraine increasingly prioritizes extended-range artillery munitions capable of striking targets up to 60 kilometers away.

russians Installed Anti-Drone Cages at the VNIIR-Progress Plant, But They Proved Ineffective Against Ukrainian Flamingo Missiles

Ukraine's latest long-range strike on the VNIIR-Progress defense plant in russia's Cheboksary exposed the limits of improvised anti-drone protection measures. Despite covering parts of the facility with large metal "anti-drone cages", russian defenses failed to stop Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, which reportedly struck the plant directly. The targeted enterprise is a key producer of Kometa satellite navigation modules used in russian Shahed drones, cruise missiles, guided bombs, and other precision weapons.

South Korea Copies Ukraine's Anti-Drone Tank Protection After "Barbecue Grill" Experiments

South Korea has begun adopting Ukrainian-style anti-drone protection systems for its K1 and K2 tanks after earlier experiments with russian-inspired "barbecue grill" cages proved inadequate. The lightweight mesh hood design, developed and widely used by Ukrainian forces against FPV drones and loitering munitions, is now influencing armored warfare doctrine far beyond the battlefield in Ukraine, highlighting how combat-driven improvisation is reshaping modern tank survivability.

Ukraine Deploys AI Anti-Drone Turrets That Destroy Fiber-Optic Drones With One Button Press (Video)

Ukraine has begun deploying AI-powered anti-drone turrets capable of automatically detecting and destroying russian UAVs, including fiber-optic drones that are resistant to electronic warfare. Developed within the Brave1 defense innovation cluster, the compact systems reportedly require just a single button press from the operator to engage targets, marking another step in Ukraine's rapid adaptation to the evolving drone threat on the battlefield.

Greeks Not Ready Transfer Mirage 2000-5 Jets to Ukraine But Considering Whether Purchase Brazilian C-390 Millenium Aircraft

Greece is signaling interest in Brazil's Embraer C-390 Millennium transport aircraft as part of a broader military modernization effort, even as Athens continues to resist pressure from France and NATO allies to transfer its Mirage 2000-5 fighters to Ukraine. The debate reflects the balancing act facing Greece: upgrading its aging air fleet while avoiding steps that could weaken its own regional deterrence posture against Turkey.
