Joint Task Force operating in the Ukrainian Eastern Operational Zone, the so-called Donbas, has published a regular report on the situation in its area of responsibility. On May 19, the Ukrainian forces of this unit repelled 14 russian attacks. In two more locations the fighting is still going on. Russian casualties today mount to:
- eight tanks;
- 14 armored fighting vehicles;
- six non-armored vehicles; and
- one "Orlan-10" ISR UAV.
According to the report, russians used combat aircraft, multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber barrel artillery, tanks, and mortars of various types to launch missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure and peaceful residential areas along the entire line of defense.

About 50 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions got shelled, more than 40 civilian objects were destroyed or damaged: 31 residential buildings, a sanatorium, a sports complex, a college dormitory, a bank office, a regional education department, a transport company and a gas pipeline. As a result of these shellings, at least eight civilians were killed and nine more were injured. Rescue and search operations are underway.
Ukrainian forces of the operational-tactical task force "East" continue to deter the enemy in the area of their responsibility, too. The russians have lost:
- 40 personnel;
- two tanks;
- two armored personnel carrier.
