A 6 kg explosive detonates near russian National Guard checkpoint

On September 11, 2024, an explosion rocked the city of Yekaterinburg, russia, near a checkpoint belonging to a military unit of the russian National Guard. The blast was claimed by members of an underground resistance group acting in coordination with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The attack was described as retribution against those involved in organizing torture chambers in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

The resistance group placed a 6 kg shrapnel-based explosive device near the checkpoint, resulting in casualties among russian personnel and damage to their vehicles. In response, russian special services, ambulances and a medical evacuation helicopter were dispatched to manage the situation and address the aftermath of the explosion.
