The paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces (Mykolaiv) destroyed 8 russian armored vehicles in Maryinka, Donetsk region, according to the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces Command.
The russians were trying to launch a massive assault, involving a great deal of armored vehicles. The russian forces planned to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces or to skirt the Ukrainian forces from the flank.

But the paratrooper of the 79th Air Assault Brigade demolished 5 russian tanks and 3 infantry fighting vehicles with the Javelin anti-tank missile system, constantly changing the firing position.
The fight was successfully completed by the artillery, which had struck at other russian vehicles. And the firearms warmly welcomed russian infantry.
5 russian tanks and 7 infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed in the battle. Having suffered heavy lossles, the russian forces withdrew.
