Ukrainian Armed Forces use various countermeasures to prevent the russian invaders from using their full military potential, says Oles Maliarevych, Deputy Commander of the 429th Separate Regiment.
In an interview with Channel 24, he noted that russian reconnaissance drones pose the greatest threat. Dealing with them is a race of technology against the enemy.

According to the deputy commander, if the Ukrainian military had not sought new ways and means, there would have been many more threats deployed by russians, and consequently, greater losses for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now the war is also about technology. Therefore, whenever the enemy deploys something new, the Ukrainian Defense Forces respond by launching a special operation to suppress russian air defenses, electronic warfare assets, and reconnaissance drones.
"All strikes on our positions occur primarily after they are detected by russian reconnaissance drones. These are Orlan and Zala. We have a range of measures in place to prevent russians from identifying where to strike," he emphasized.

Earlier, Defense Express summarized what is known about the new Banderol jet drone that has been used in recent attacks on Ukraine.
