The Ministry of Defense of the russian federation does not hide the fact that it actively uses Chinese civilian multicopters as strike drones, in particular in the role of so-called flying mortars

One of the videos released by Russia’s Ministry of Defense showed the work of an unnamed repair unit that restored the damaged drone.

Although in this plot, the russian military man said that some specialists came to calibrate this product. This calls into question the real involvement of this unit in the repair of the drone.

But the multicopter itself, which can be easily identified as the M1500 by the T-Motor (T-Drones) company from China, attracts attention in the story.

This drone is freely sold on the civilian market, the cost of the basic version without batteries and camera is from 5499 dollars.

The declared characteristics of the M1500 speak of the possibility of flying with a load of 15 kg for 30 minutes, and with a load of 5 kg, the flight duration is 1 hour. Given these technical characteristics, this multicopter can really be converted to drop mortar rounds.

Other components of the drone itself were also demonstrated. For example, the T-Rex Mini 1500TVL invention of another Chinese company Foxeer was used as a daytime camera. Also in the video you can see the control panel - the CubePilot Herelink universal remote control.

We will remind that in general we are talking about a ready-made drone, which, most likely, the russians independently adapted for dropping mortar mines.

However, as Defense Express previously wrote, that Chinese companies are ready to manufacture "flying mortars" for the russians in a complete configuration, including a droping mechanism.

Although Beijing has banned the export of any drones with a take-off weight of more than 7 kg since September 1, it is quite easy to circumvent this ban by supplying "machine kits" in the form of a build-it-yourself kit.
