The concept of this invention, the so-called BMPT Terminator tank support combat vehicles, failed on the battlefield, because the occupiers were unable to find a place in combat for them.
The occupiers applied them on the battlefield, primarily in Luhansk oblast: near Zolote, in Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. At the same time, these vehicles were remembered primarily for the fact that during their first battle in Ukraine they were forced to flee from the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
However, russian occupiers continue to use these vehicles on the battlefield and even give "hints" where the Armed Forces of Ukraine can find them.
Thus, the occupiers currently want to throw their BMPT’s into battle in Svatove region, in Luhansk oblast: these vehicles are expected to fight in the 3rd Army Corps, which actually collapsed and has not been able to perform tasks since October.
Defense Express reminds that russian BMPT Terminator is intended for action as part of tank formations aiming to defeat the enemy's anti-tank weapons. It underwent "combat tests" in Syria in the summer of 2017, the first batch of vehicles for russia’s Ministry of Defense was shipped in 2018. Overall, about a dozen such machines are in service with russia’s army.
