China is preparing to supply russia with weapons, certain signs of this have already been recorded. This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“We have seen some signs that they may be planning for that and of course NATO allies, the United States, have been warning against it because this is something that should not happen. China should not support Russia’s illegal war”, the Associated Press quotes him as saying.

He also personally called on Beijing to refrain from this decision. But Defense Express note that a few days ago in Moscow, putin met with Wang Yi, who previously held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, and is now the head of the Office of Foreign Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Prior to that, the USA also repeatedly announced that China's military support of russia would have negative and very serious consequences. But Beijing consistently emphasizes that its relations with Moscow are not directed against any other country, and has also denied any negotiations regarding the sale or transfer of arms to the Russian Federation.
In any case, for the russian federation, China is the only source of solving all problems, which the country is now trying to solve with the help of Iran and North Korea.
In particular, taking even a short-term perspective, China has similar tank and artillery calibers, actual copies of Soviet weapons, in particular artillery and combat vehicles, which are in storage in a fairly significant number. And this is without taking into account the large amount of weapons that are directly intended for export.
At the same time, the information that russia has already turned to China for help first appeared almost a year ago. And even then, i.e. immediately after the failure of the "blitzkrieg", the Kremlin focused its attention on the immediate need for armored vehicles and ammunition. But for the entire year of 2022, no transfer of Chinese weapons was recorded.
In particular, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Avril Haines, reported during the Reagan National Defense Forum 2022, that nothing that could indicate military support had been recorded. But she also added that there are certain tangential things that are confusing and intelligence is tracking all of that.
In February 2023, information appeared that China is still helping russia to produce weapons for the war against Ukraine, but not by transferring finished products, but by providing a number of components for such types of weapons as the S-400, Mi-17 and Su -35.
But now, all things considered, the Kremlin trying to find quick ready-made solutions in the short term. Considering the real threat of such support, it is important to know exactly what Moscow has promised if Beijing risks changing its position.
