Lithuania and Germany quite quickly organized the operational repair of the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers for Ukraine

Allied countries of Ukraine undertake not only the supply of weapons, but also the repair of damaged equipment. In particular, Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas announced that the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers, which Germany and the Netherlands supply to Ukraine, had been repaired.

He also published a photo showing two self-propelled guns on trawls heading through Poland.

Earlier, the minister said that the repair of self-propelled 155 mm PzH2000 artillery mounts, which Germany had previously transferred to Ukraine, would be carried out by the Lithuanian side.

It should be noted that in the situation of the need to service the PzH 2000, Germany initially worked out the creation of a service center in Poland. But in September, Lithuania announced that it would undertake this mission. Lithuania Defense Services, which was opened in July by Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, performs most of the repair work. The center's task is to service the entire product line of the companies, including the Boxer Armoured fighting vehicles, Puma Infantry fighting vehicles, Leopard-2 tanks, all vehicles based on it, and, of course, the PzH 2000.

It is also extremely important for Ukraine to deploy similar certified service and repair centers. But the fact is that to the time, it is quite difficult to persuade foreign companies to invest in them even at the level of technology transfer and necessary equipment. At the same time, there is no doubt that similar centers will be deployed, because the number of specialists who have practical experience in servicing Western weapons in Ukraine is only increasing.
