During a large-scale attack by drones on strategic objects of the russian federation on the night of August 29-30, the Russian microelectronics manufacturer the Kremny EL plant in Bryansk came under attack. According to unofficial sources, a fire broke out in one of the workshops after the drone struck.
It is worth admitting that it is unlikely that a single kamikaze drone attack on such an object can disable it. At the same time, it should be understood that the distance to the Kremniy EL plant from the border with Ukraine is only 110 km. Therefore, this strategically important object of the russian defense industry may well be within the reach of Ukraine's existing and promising means of defeating.

At the same time, the complete destruction of the enterprise may well have a more than positive effect for Ukraine. The fact is that Kremny EL is the second largest producer of microelectronics in the russian federation. At the same time, 90% of the manufactured products are used as components for the manufacture of various military products, such as missiles of various types, unmanned aerial vehicles, etc.
However, this enterprise no longer specializes in the production of ready-made blocks or microcircuits, but in electronic components: transistors, diodes, simple modules based on them. That is, it is the main manufacturer of components that are used, probably, in absolutely all military microcircuits in the russian federation.
The importance of this enterprise for the military-industrial complex of the russian federation is fully demonstrated by the volume of investments invested in the development of this enterprise, which, since approximately 2010, amount to 5.5 million dollars annually. In 2014, the company reported that since 2000, it had increased its output 8 times.
The production volumes of some types of products were also announced at that time - the enterprise took the first place in the russian federation for the production of case integrated microcircuits and transistors, while the production plan for 2014 was 7 million units.
It is known that after 2014, the volume of financial infusions into this enterprise only increased due to the fact that the staff of the Kremniy EL plant was tasked with solving the problem of import substitution of foreign-made components. As of 2019, the plant reported receiving a total of more than 160 million dollars (over 1 billion rubles) to solve this significant problem for the russian defense industry.
The russian federation also declared that the company has mastered the production of products using a technological process of 500 nm, with prospects to reach 350 nm. For comparison, of course, we note that since 2020, the production of microcircuits in the world's leading companies is carried out using a technological process of 5 nm.
It is also known about the participation of Kremniy EL in some strategically important research and development works for the russian federation, among them research and design works, which are called by conventional names: "Agrofon", "Agronomiya" and "Silovik-5". Despite the names, these works have nothing to do with agronomy or any other civilian field. We are talking about part of the russian federal program "Alternative" for the development using a new element base of new radars on active phased arrays, intended for air defense, installation on aircraft, ships, etc.
Thus, the Kremniy E" plant in Bryansk is a worthy candidate for its further destruction with all means of destruction available in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Especially since the successful kamikaze drone attack demonstrated a certain weakness of russian air defense in the area.
