The Armed Forces of Ukraine directly on the battlefield demonstrate the effectiveness of a number of Western models of weapons and military equipment, which prompts other countries to purchase more weapons tested on the battlefield against a serious enemy.

For example, it recently became known that the Ministry of Defense of Finland has given permission to its armed forces to purchase an additional batch of 155-mm Bonus MK II special ammunition, which will be supplied by Nexter Munitions.

The amount of the purchase is 35 million euros, the deal will be financed from the additional budget intended for rapid purchases of weapons and military equipment.

The high-precision 155-mm Bonus ammunition is a joint Swedish-French development that started back in 1985 as a research project. This ammunition can be used from a number of different 155 mm artillery systems.

The ammunition contains two sub-munitions, which, after firing, descend on the target with the help of winglets, independently find and attack enemy equipment in the upper hemisphere. It can destroy targets at a distance of 32 km (35 km when firing from a system with a barrel length of 52 calibers).

The high-precision 155-mm Bonus ammunition "lit up" for the first time in Ukraine this year - in January, photos of one of the submunitions were published, which could indicate that this ammunition is actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that last year it was confirmed that the Ukrainian military also uses another SMArt 155ammunition similar to Bonus projectile. SMArt projectiles showed themselves so well in the hands of warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that Germany decided to resume their production in five years.

As Defense Express reported, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russians have lost hundreds of their artillery systems of all kinds. We also wrote, that russia was spending 20,000 artillery shells per day, production cannot keep up with such rates.
