Russia is transferring tanks, IFVs and other equipment to Belarus

Belarusian Hajun reports that the russian Army has started transferring equipment located in Belarus from the northern and central training grounds to the south of the country, closer to the border with Ukraine.

Today, December 20, an echelon (23 units of the T-80 tanks, 8 fuel tankers, 9 trucks, 2 passenger and 7 freight railway cars) with the equipment of the russian Army, which was based at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground, left the Polonka station, which in Brest oblast. It is known that this echelon arrived in Luninets, which is about 60km from the border with Ukraine.

Another echelon with 20 units of the BMP-2 IFVs, fuel tankers, Urals, mobile control points, etc., arrived in Kalinkovichy in Gomel oblast (50 km from the border with Ukraine) on December 20. It is likely that this echelon will continue to move in a southerly direction.

Also yesterday, December 19, at the Zaslonovo station in Vitebsk oblast, more than 20 tanks and 16 Urals from the Lepelsky training ground were loaded onto the platforms: the echelon probably arrived in Slutsk, in Minsk oblast (about 150 km from border with Ukraine).

As of now, it remains unclear whether russia plans to continue transferring equipment closer to the border with Ukraine or whether it is currently taking them to regular joint exercises with the army of Belarus. At the same time, this amount of equipment is definitely not enough to talk about offensive actions.
