​Defenders of Ukraine Repulse 12 Enemy Attacks, Destroy 8 Tanks in JFO Area

Ukrainian troops acting as a part of Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Group continue to conduct a defense operation in a certain area of responsibility in the Donetsk and Luhansk areas. In the area of responsibility of the Joint Forces, Ukrainian defenders destroyed eight Russian tanks and seven unmanned aerial vehicles on Saturday, May 14

“As of 21:00, May 14, the Joint Forces continue to conduct a defense operation in a designated area of responsibility in Donetsk and Luhansk directions,” the Joint Forces posted on Facebook.

As noted, the situation is difficult but controlled.

Along the entire line of defense, Russian troops use combat aircraft, multiple launch rocket systems, heavy artillery, tanks, mortars of various systems, and launch missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure and peaceful residential areas.

On Saturday, May 14, Ukraine’s Joint Forces repulsed 12 Russian attacks. Fighting with the enemy continues at six more locations.

As of 21:00, the Joint Forces destroyed eight Russian tanks, five artillery systems, nine armored personnel vehicles, and five vehicles.

The air defense units shot down six Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles and one Eleron tactical reconnaissance drone in eastern Ukraine.

As Defense Express reported The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already actively, and most importantly - effectively, using American 155 mm M777 howitzers in battles against occupiers.

Defense Express has received public materials from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which allow to consider the most interesting features of this new artillery system for the Ukrainian army, as well as to hear how Ukrainian artilerymen themselves respond to the new weapon.
