Colonel Igor Kryuchkov, commander of a distinct unit within the Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, expressed discontent with the behavior of russian military instructors, including members of the Wagner Group, toward Belarusian border guard special unit personnel in private conversations with colleagues.

The presence of russian instructors indicates the Kremlin’s continued interest in potentially leveraging Belarusian military forces for its own objectives.

It’s noteworthy that Belarus has been conducting military exercises since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, aiming to exert pressure on Ukrainian military and political leadership.
