The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saky air base, where the 43rd Independent Naval Attack Aviation Regiment of the russian occupation forces is based

The Ukrainian military destroyed a russian Su-30SM (Su-30SM multirole fighter (NATO reporting name: Flanker-H) during a recent attack on russia’s Saky air base located in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to satellite images released by OSINT specialists from the CyberBoroshno channel, as a result of this strike, one Su-30SM fighter jet was destroyed. Another aircraft could be damaged by debris. In particular, traces of jet fuel leakage can be seen on satellite images.

In general, according to the researchers, as of July 23, nine Su-24 tactical bombers, five Su-30SM multirole fighters, three Su-30SM2 aircraft (one of which is non-working), as well as one Su-30 fighter were based at the Saky air base on the eve of the strike.

We will remind that in this case we are talking about the attack of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the Saky air base, where 43rd Independent Naval Attack Aviation Regiment has been based since 2014, after the occupation of Crimea by the russians. russia’s objects on the territory of the Saky air base were hit on the night of July 26.

After this strike, the russians assumed that the British Boeing RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft might carry out the reconnaissance for the strike. At the same time, russian bloggers admitted that the russian federation would not have time to build shelters for the military aircraft to protect them from strikes by the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, Defense Express reported that Ukrainian long-range drones had carried out a series of strikes on strategic airfields of the russian federation, including the Olenya air base, which is located 1,800 km from the border with Ukraine.
