More than 11,000 people of the Russian army are dead and 25,000 people injured in 11 days of the war in Ukraine

Russian Federation has lost more soldiers than during the first and the second Chechen wars, Anton Gerashchenko, the official Adviser and former Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ukraine, wrote on his Telegram channel.

The official provided statistics for the loss of Russians during the wars in Chechnya and compared them to the current data regarding the war in Ukraine. In the first Chechen war lasting from December 1994 to August 1996, Russia lost 5,334 people. Statistics were collected immediately after the war by the staff of the United group of federal forces. The second war lasted for 10 years (August 1999 – April 2009). Russia's casualties were about 6,000 people. The same number of losses summarily has been recorded in just 11 days of the war in Ukraine.

"I want to also remind you that Chechnya has the size of a bit more than a half of Sumy region, which is legendary for its partisan movement," Gerashchenko noted.

However, Yeltsin and Putin could not calm it down for 15 years, despite the fact that the Russian army fought against small resistance groups which did not have the military equipment, weapons, and support from the West that Ukraine has now.

The Adviser to MIA urged the people of Russia to stop the war. Otherwise, the conflict will take more than tens of thousands of their compatriots’ lives.

"Every Russian is now personally morally responsible for the invasion into Ukraine and deaths of our children, women, old people, and soldiers. It's because of your silent agreement Putin destroyed the opposition, closed free media, invaded Georgia, bombed Syria, occupied Crimea and Donbas, and now started de-facto World War III," said Anton Gerashchenko.

"Putin has to go! Otherwise, he will bring the Russian Federation to ruins and bury the hopes of 140 million Russians under those ruins."
