The "unmanned" war continues on the Black Sea and its technological level is constantly increasing

The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraineand the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), which are components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, admitted their involvement in the attack on the Kerch Bridge on the night of Monday, July 17, 2023. At the same time, it is currently unknown which means could be used for the attack.

"The Security Service of Ukraine will definitely reveal all the details about the "event" organization after our Victory. Meanwhile, we are watching with interest as one of the symbols of Putin's regime once again failed to withstand the military load," the SBU said.

At the same time, russian propagandists claim in their statements that two kamikaze boats, with a warhead increased to 500 kg, were allegedly used to attack the Kerch Bridge. At the same time, the blow was inflicted in the area of one of the pillars of the structure, which in fact led to the collapse of the road section of the road part of the Kerch Bridge.

In turn, the russian so called “milblogers” assume that the same type of naval drones as the one used for the attack on the temporarily occupied Sevastopol on July 16, 2023 could have been used for the attack on the bridge.

If there really are Ukrainian "kamikaze boats" there, it seems that we can currently observe the fourth iteration of this type of weapon. It is worth comparing the images of Ukrainian kamikaze boats that were used during the attacks on the temporarily occupied Sevastopol in October 2022 and April 2023, as well as for the task of striking the russian Ivan Khurs SIGINT intelligence collection ship in May 2023.

Next, it is worth finding an answer to the question "how did it happen that the Russians did not notice the passage of the kamikaze boats to the Crimean Bridge?".

It seems that the algorithm of actions here could be as follows: to reach the object of attack, Ukrainian naval drones could travel at low speed and in low-noise mode; at the same time, the very small size of such "unmanned ships" could contribute to the fact that the russians discovered them late.

Here it is worth noting that, according to known data from open sources, Ukrainian kamikaze boats have a hull length of only 5 meters, but also to mention that this is even less than the hull length of various types of torpedoes used on the Varshavyanka type submarines.

It should be emphasized separately that the very fact of owning this type of weapon gives Ukraine an additional initiative in organizing a war at sea.

Media reports, that around 04:00 a.m., July 17, 2023, a span of the Kerch Strait Bridge (also called the Crimean Bridge) reportedly collapsed. As Defense Express reported, Ukraine's SBU, Navy are behind the nighttime assault of the Kerch Bridge
