The National Intelligence Service of South Korea indicates that at least 10,000 North Korean soldiers are anticipated to be deployed to Ukraine for combat duties.
Additionally, there are approximately 4,000 North Korean workers currently in russia, earning about $800 monthly, according to The Korea Herald.

Amid North Korea's crop shortages, russia is expected to considerably boost its rice shipments to Pyongyang. Reports suggest that Moscow could send between 600,000 and 700,000 tons of rice annually, a significant increase from the previous 50,000 to 100,000 tons.
The publication also states, "North Korea and russia’s military cooperation is going to last beyond the war. They agreed to provide immediate military assistance if either of them is attacked under the mutual defense pact, which is binding."
As reported by Defense Express, UK Defense Intelligence has analyzed the potential impacts of North Korean deployment on russia’s military strategy in Ukraine.
Furthermore, it was noted that South Korea has signaled a possible increase in support for Ukraine amid the deployment of North Korean troops near the border.
