The Ukrainian Armor company is demonstrating its second novelty at the MSPO exhibition in Poland but this time it's an indigenous modular combat robot

Following the presentation of the Varta 2 armored personnel carrier, Ukrainian Armor LLC keeps revealing more of its developments at the MSPO-2024 exhibition in Kielce, Poland. This time, the company shows the Unmanned Ground Vehicle Protector, shares some additional details and photos on its official Facebook page.

CEO of Ukrainian Armor, Vladyslav Belbas, says when creating this new robotic platform, the engineers were guided primarily by the first-hand experience of the Ukrainian military personnel fighting against the russian invasion forces, especially those soldiers who were already used to operating similar weapons on the battlefield.

"This robot was created to increase the safety and operational efficiency of military personnel on the battlefield," Belbas asserted, adding that the guiding principle for the development of the UGV Protector was the "safe execution of dangerous missions."

He also emphasizes that, first of all, the UGV Protector is positioned as a platform for logistics but does not rule out other uses such as conducting reconnaissance, transporting and launching other unmanned systems, etc.

In addition, the Protector can be turned into a full-fledged combat unit. To provide an example, the company demonstrates this UGV equipped with various weapon stations, including launchers of anti-tank missile systems. Among the images, one also shows an electronic warfare system installed on this robot.
