Sergey Chemezov announces serial production post military testing completion

The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, has announced that after the completion of military testing of the Zubilo robotic vehicle by Remdiesel, serial production of this development will commence. However, the timeline for the completion of these tests has not been disclosed.

The Zubilo vehicle is designed as a remotely controlled robotic wheeled vehicle for the transportation of ammunition, wounded personnel, quadcopters and more. It was first unveiled at the Army-2023 exhibition, at which point it was equipped with the ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun without sights and lacked any cameras.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the Zubilo vehicle would receive various modifications tailored to the needs of different military branches. This information was provided by the CEO of Remdiesel, Alexander Zakharov. He explained, “Each branch of the military envisions this machine differently – some see it as an evacuation vehicle, while others intend to mount weapons on it. The construction remains the same overall, but its configuration can vary depending on the mission requirements.”

The Zubilo vehicle is based on the KamAZ chassis and is claimed to withstand direct hits from a 30 mm automatic cannon. It can be equipped with various combat modules, has a total weight of 16 tons, and can carry up to 2.7 tons of cargo. In its basic version, the vehicle has an operational range of 10 kilometers and a top speed of 100 km/h.
