The French have the Akeron MP anti-tank missile manufactured by MBDA, and at SOFINS 2023 military exhibition this missile was displayed on an inflatable boat of the RHIB type that is used by the French marines, as EDR Magazine reports.
The main improvement, thanks to which the Akeron MP anti-tank missile can be launched directly from the sea, is a special stabilization algorithm that works on the missile's GPS and was developed specifically to compensate for the movement of the boat. Thanks to this system the operator is capable of keeping the target easily in sight before the launch.

Although the version with the Akeron MP on a boat was demonstrated in the version where the operator has to launch the missile while standing, the French Navy also wants to evaluate the possibility of installing a shorter mast.
The exhibition also demonstrated potential ways of using the Akeron MP from a boat on a special simulator: the boat was approaching the shore and the operator launched a missile at a static target, which was played by the harbor control tower. In this case, the missile actually flew in the "fire-and-forget" mode. Later, the operator spotted another target, an enemy tank, and this time the operator guided the missile until it hit the target using a fiber optic cable.
As the article noted, in addition to inflatable boats, the Akeron MP can also strengthen multi-purpose landing cutters, which can be armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
