According to a July 17th statement of pres-office of Ukraine’ Defense Intelligence, the operator from the Brotherhood unit, part of the Timur special operations unit, faced a numerically superior russian force that launched a coordinated assault using mortars, FPV drones, and banned chemical agents.
In response to his effective defense, the russians escalated to prohibited warfare tactics, deploying an unknown poisonous gas. The position was then subjected to heavy mortar fire as well as FPV drone strikes.

Despite sustaining multiple shrapnel wounds and suffering from chemical exposure that caused intermittent loss of consciousness, the operative continued to resist. Eventually, holding the position became impossible due to his condition.
A decision was made to extract the wounded fighter. In the midst of active FPV drone activity, an evacuation team managed to break through enemy fire, retrieve the soldier, and transport him to a stabilization point.
"Thanks to the coordinated actions as well as high professionalism of the special forces, the position was not only held, but the enemy was pushed back," the statement reads.
While the name of the operative has not been disclosed, the video released by DIU captures the intensity of the assault and the risky evacuation carried out under fire — a testament to both individual heroism and team coordination.
