Ukrainian paratroopers from the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade have destroyed russian ground robotic system equipped with an automatic, tripod-mounted grenade launcher, the unit reported after posting footage of the strike on November 4.
The engagement, captured on video and shared by the Brigade, shows how Ukraine's drone and counter-robot teams detect, track and engage small mechanized threats before they can close with friendly positions.

In its brief statement accompanying the footage, the 46th Brigade framed the destruction as the result of "coordinated actions" between drone units and other elements of the formation, stressing that mobile enemy systems moving on Ukrainian soil under a hostile flag are legitimate targets.
Tactically, eliminating an armed ground robotic system matters for several reasons. These robots are designed to approach forward positions while offering their operators a degree of standoff and protection, and when fitted with automatic grenade launchers they can deliver suppressive indirect fire or engage infantry and soft-skinned vehicles. Removing even a single robot reduces the enemy's ability to probe, suppress, or conduct remote loitering attacks against Ukrainian defensive lines.
The engagement also highlights how Ukrainian units combine reconnaissance drones, FPV strike platforms, and conventional observation to achieve rapid target acquisition and lethal effects, shortening the sensor-to-shooter loop that counter-robot warfare demands.
As Defense Express previously reported, in a series of fierce engagements on the front line, the fighters of Ukraine's 44th Separate Artillery Brigade destroyed four russian D-30 howitzers and one 2A65 Msta-B gun. The unit shared combat footage showcasing their precise counter-battery strikes and the effectiveness of coordinated Ukrainian fire missions.
