russians claim that this EWC is capable of jamming satellite communication and even disabling satellites directly from the Earth's surface. Moreover, russian propagandists have attributed to it a "victory" over the Starlink satellite network. But knowing how russia exaggerates the capabilities of its weapons, one can doubt it tactical and technical characteristics

Ukrainian Special Operations Forces units announced the detection and elimination of a rare russian Triada-2 electronic warfare system in the Donetsk sector, according to a reported made by the SSO on Facebook.

Operators of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discovered this russian EWC during reconnaissance in the area.

The EWC Triada-2, also known as Triada-2.3, is a rare and highly classified russian electronic warfare complex (EWC) developed by Moscow Central Research Institute No. 46 of the russian Defense Ministry. The purpose of the Tirada-2 system, according to russian sources, is to suppress satellite communications.

As of 2018, this system passed state tests in the russian federation and began to be supplied to the occupying army in limited quantities. And already in the spring of 2019, Triada-2 system was detected on the territory of the occupied Luhansk region.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces had previously succeeded in destroying a Tirada-2 system in the Bakhmut sector in July 2023.
