Ukrainian marines repelled an attempted crossing, destroying reinforcements and eliminating two enemy groups

Ukrainian marines have repelled another russian attempt to establish a foothold along the Dnipro River, destroying multiple assault boats and eliminating enemy troops trying to secure positions in the river's floodplain. The engagement highlights the continued intensity of fighting in this challenging riverine environment.

According to Ukraine's 40th Brigade, the operation began with aerial reconnaissance detecting russian boat carrying troops attempting to cross the river. Such movements are typically aimed at infiltrating small assault groups to gain a foothold on islands or marshy terrain.

Once the target was identified, Ukrainian FPV drone teams were quickly deployed. Several precise strikes disabled the boat, leaving it immobilized in the water before it could reach the shoreline.

Surviving russian troops attempted to disperse and hide in the dense floodplain vegetation, hoping to establish concealed positions. However, Ukrainian strike drones continued to track and eliminate the scattered personnel, preventing them from regrouping or entrenching.

Shortly afterward, reconnaissance assets detected two additional boats moving toward the area as reinforcements. Ukrainian forces reacted immediately, engaging the incoming craft with a combination of FPV drones and artillery fire.

Both boats were destroyed before they could deliver additional troops, effectively cutting off any chance of reinforcing the initial assault group. The rapid response demonstrated a high level of coordination between reconnaissance, drone operators, and artillery units.

Over the course of several hours, Ukrainian marines destroyed three boats in total and eliminated two groups of russian troops. The scale of the losses suggests that the assault was not a probing action but a more deliberate attempt to gain ground.
