One of the engagements involved the Monaco interceptor-UAV group, which used a man-portable air defense system to engage russian Shahed strike drone.
The Shahed was a jet-powered strike variant, according to the brigade's description. The target was engaged on September 15 in Mykolaiv region.
The use of a MANPADS against the Shahed drone demonstrates that Ukrainian air defense units employ different means to counter russian unmanned systems. Interceptor drones represent one layer of this effort, while portable surface-to-air missile systems provide another option.
The 208th Brigade's released footage documents the operation of its personnel against russian aerial targets. The unit did not provide additional details about the specific MANPADS system used in the engagement.
