Ukraine's Defense Intelligence said its drone operators tracked and struck a column of Bastion-M systems in Crimea, destroying a launcher and two 3M22 Zircon missiles before they could be used

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence has reported a successful strike against russian coastal missile assets in temporarily occupied Crimea, targeting a column of mobile launchers before they could reach firing positions.

Specialists tracked a column of the Bastion-M launchers moving toward deployment sites during the night of March 24. The operation was supported by drone reconnaissance, enabling precise targeting in real time.

Video released by the Defense Intelligence shows the moment Ukrainian operators struck the column, hitting key elements of the system. As a result of the attack, one launcher was destroyed, while another sustained damage, degrading the unit's operational capability.

Notably, the strike also eliminated two 3M22 Zircon missiles, high-value assets that russia has increasingly sought to employ against Ukraine. The loss of such weapons underscores both the cost and strategic impact of the operation.

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence also reported personnel losses among russian forces, with seven servicemen killed or wounded in the strike. The engagement appears to have disrupted not only equipment but also the immediate readiness of the unit involved.

Russia has been using Zircon missiles launched from Bastion systems primarily to strike civilian targets, particularly in southern and eastern regions of Ukraine. The destruction of the launchers and missiles is therefore framed as a direct prevention of planned attacks on populated areas.
