It was the first russian unit to fully transition to Iskander short-range ballistic missile systems, replacing the older Tochka-U. As a result of the Ukrainian strike, one Iskander launcher detonated, and two others were reportedly seriously damaged. The extent of the damage is currently being verified. The General Staff noted that the coordinated efforts of Ukrainian forces and precise intelligence enabled the successful destruction of these targets, preventing potential civilian casualties in Ukraine.
