Ukrainian long-range weapons have struck the Tuapse terminal, damaging vital oil infrastructure used to handle up to 7 million tons of petroleum annually

Ukrainian forces have successfully struck the Tuapse Marine Oil Terminal operated by Rosneft, delivering another precise blow deep inside russia's critical energy infrastructure. According to preliminary data, the strike hit one of the terminal's most vital components, the central cargo overpass, which serves as the main hub for transferring oil and petroleum products between onshore storage tanks and tankers, CyberBoroshno reports.

The Tuapse terminal, located on russia's Black Sea coast at coordinates 44.0833684, 39.0700835, plays a crucial logistical role in the export of russian oil. Commissioned in 2013, the deep-water facility has an annual transshipment capacity of up to 7 million tons and can accommodate vessels up to 250 meters in length with a draft of 15 meters. The site is considered one of Rosneft's key export gateways in the southern region.

Footage and satellite imagery circulating online indicate that the strike caused significant damage to the loading infrastructure, with reports suggesting secondary fires at the terminal. The targeted central platform connects the main oil storage facilities onshore with moored tankers offshore, meaning that even localized destruction can disrupt the port's operations for weeks, if not months.

The strike is part of Ukraine's ongoing long-range campaign against russia's fuel and logistics networks, aiming to reduce the Kremlin's ability to sustain its war economy. Over the past months, Ukrainian drones and missiles have repeatedly targeted refineries, oil depots, and export terminals in regions including Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Krasnodar.

Hitting Tuapse carries additional symbolic and strategic weight: the port lies nearly 500 kilometers from the front line, underscoring Ukraine's growing reach and precision strike capability. It also demonstrates Kyiv's continued ability to project power across the Black Sea region.

As Defense Express previously reported, on October 31, 2025, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence carried out a successful special operation that disabled a strategically important russian military facility – the Koltsevaya fuel pipeline. The strike targeted one of russia's critical logistics arteries supplying the occupying army with gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel for its war against Ukraine.
