The russian grouping of occupation forces in the city of Lyman (Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine) was completely enveloped by Ukrainian forces, as stated in the assessment by the Institute for the Study of War, a U.S.-based think tank.
Referring to a russian source, the report says: "The correspondent called the situation 'extremely difficult' for elements of the BARS-13 detachment and the 752nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 20th Combined Arms Army, which are reportedly defending around Drobysheve and into Lyman."

Media activist and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Taras Berezovets shared his piece of information. According to him, the encircled group consists of 5,500 russian troops, including the 752nd regiment.

Apparently, these forces made an attempt to break through the encirclement towards russian-controlled territories. This is what Yurii Butusov, the Chief editor of the Censor.Net media resource reported, with the following photo attached.
"A russian column of combat vehicles and stolen civil transport is now in the village of Zarichne, preparing for to break free to Torske and thus escape from the encirclement. This street is the only way which the russians will gather on for a run," Butusov wrote on his social media.
He said this only way out is under full fire control by the Ukrainian side, nevertheless russians try to gather for a try, and they move out quickly to complete the mission before dusk. Because "they fear that in darkness our infantry will reach Torske, and any kind of breach will become impossible."
