On November 28, 2024, Ukrainian forces achieved a significant victory in the ongoing defense against russian aggression. The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully neutralized russian Podlet radar system near the settlement of Kotovske in the west of Crimea, which is currently under temporary russian occupation.
The 48Ya6-K1 Podlet radar is a mobile system critical to detecting aerial targets flying at low and extremely low altitudes, even in heavily jammed environments. This advanced technology plays a vital role in supporting russia’s S-300 and S-400 air defense systems by providing precise target acquisition data.
