Operators of the Northern Eagle Battalion have destroyed russian 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled artillery system after detecting its concealed firing position with aerial reconnaissance.
Combat footage released by the brigade shows the sequence of the strike, highlighting the growing effectiveness of Ukrainian drone reconnaissance and precision attack capabilities against russian artillery assets.

According to the unit, russian forces attempted to camouflage the self-propelled howitzer to avoid detection, but the position was identified before it could remain hidden.
Once the target had been confirmed, Ukrainian strike drone operators were tasked with neutralizing the artillery system. The drones successfully struck the 2S19 Msta-S system, eliminating another valuable piece of russian fire support equipment from the battlefield.
The destruction of self-propelled artillery remains a high priority for Ukrainian forces, as systems such as the Msta-S provide long-range indirect fire capable of supporting offensive and defensive operations. Their mobility allows them to relocate quickly after firing, making rapid detection and engagement essential.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukraine's 40th Brigade has demonstrated a new tactic that uses sea drones to deploy reconnaissance UAVs before directing FPV strikes against russian troops on the Tendrivska Spit and along the Dnipro River.
