On the night of Sunday, August 18, drones attacked an oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov Oblast. A large-scale fire broke out at the facility. Local residents could see the smoke from hundreds of meters away. This is reported by russian Telegram channels.
The governor of Rostov Oblast, Vasily Golubev, claimed that russian air defense had allegedly repelled UAVs attack. According to Golubev, the fire was caused by falling debris.

“In the southeast of Rostov Oblast, air defense also repelled UAVs attack. As a result of falling debris on the territory of industrial warehouses in Proletarsk, diesel fuel caught fire. Firefighters were involved in the extinguishment,” he wrote.
Later he also added that firefighting had been suspended due to a repeat drones attack.
In turn, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on Kavkaz Combine in Rostov Oblast. According to the statement, oil products were stored there, which were supplied for the needs of russian occupation army.
"The task was accomplished by the forces of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine in cooperation with the Armed Forces and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Measures to disrupt the military and economic potential of the russian federation to be continued," the statement reads.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian Defense Intelligence had cyberattacked the russian nuclear weapons manufacturer.
