Ukrainian operators from the 2nd Battalion of the Raid 413th Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck russian BREM-1 armored recovery vehicle in temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. The vehicle had been fitted with electronic warfare equipment and additional metal anti-drone structures, but the drone still managed to hit it.
The strike was reported by the Raid Regiment, which released details of the operation. The additional protection, described as hedgehog-like structures, was intended to make the vehicle more resistant to Ukrainian drone attacks.

The BREM-1 is an armored recovery vehicle designed to evacuate damaged or immobilized tanks and other heavy military equipment from the battlefield. It can also perform repairs and maintenance in field conditions, helping return damaged vehicles to service.
Such vehicles play an important supporting role in armored operations. By recovering damaged equipment, they help reduce permanent vehicle losses and allow military units to restore some of their combat capability without having to replace every damaged tank or armored vehicle.
However, BREM-1 vehicles are reportedly in short supply in the russian military. Although russia has produced large numbers of tanks, the maintenance and recovery infrastructure needed to support its armored fleet remains a weak point.
The BREM-1system struck by the Raid Regiment was equipped with both electronic warfare systems and improvised physical protection against drones. Nevertheless, these measures failed to prevent Ukrainian drone from hitting the vehicle.
