Ukraine's Defense Intelligence have successfully struck a command post of russian Rubikon unit in temporarily occupied Avdiivka, Donetsk region. The operation targeted one of the most technologically advanced formations of russian forces.
The strike was conducted after Ukrainian operatives discovered the enemy's headquarters hidden inside a half-destroyed building in the devastated city. The Rubikon center, one of the elite drone warfare units of the russian army, specializes in the use of unmanned aerial systems, including strike and reconnaissance drones, during russia's ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.

Russian sources have previously described the Rubikon unit as a core part of their drone warfare infrastructure, responsible for adapting and integrating new unmanned platforms into frontline operations. Its personnel consist of highly trained drone operators and engineers, many of whom have combat experience across multiple fronts.
After confirming the coordinates of the command post, Ukrainian intelligence operatives carried out a precision strike using the FP-2 unmanned aerial vehicle. The FP-2 drone, equipped with a powerful 105-kilogram warhead, was guided with exceptional precision through the dense urban landscape of Avdiivka.
The strike reportedly eliminated multiple russian officers and drone operators who were inside the command center at the time of impact. The extent of structural damage has not been disclosed, but the Defense Intelligence emphasized that the operation dealt a significant blow to russia's drone warfare capabilities in the Donetsk direction.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces have delivered another precision strike on russian logistics infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, further tightening the pressure on enemy supply chains along the eastern front. The operation, carried out near the cities of Dovzhansk and Rozkishne, targeted key fuel and materiel depots that sustained russian frontline operations.
